Rob Holt is a practicing architect in the Boston area. Having studied Art at Brown University and Architecture at Harvard School of Design, he has maintained an interest in landscape photography throughout his career.
In 1991 he took three months off and toured America with his cameras, to see and experience the unbuilt landscape for himself. Since that trip he spends as much time as possible in the Southwest, recently taking a three month leave in and around Page, Arizona, pursuing the many emotional aspects of color, light, and form.
Rob is especially drawn to Canyon Country, where beauty is found suddenly where least expected, where solid stone flows in liquid lines, where unimaginable forces are made visible.
When on the move Rob uses digital SLR cameras for their ease of carrying about, and a lightweight tripod.
